Description:This is an Ambient Occlusion shader I made for 3D Studio Max. Having this handy will eliminate the need for you to create AO setups everytime. _keep in note_ when using this TURN OFF: FINAL GATHER,GLOBAL ILLUMINATION,EXPOSURE CONTROL, & SET YOUR LIGHT MULTIPLIER TO ZERO(0). ALSO UNDER ENVIRONMENT/EFFECTS TAB CHANGE YOUR AMBIENT LIGHT COLOR TO WHITE. Then you are set.

i tried this material, i like it, but i removed the reflection. with the reflections at 0.2, the render is too white.

I use AO all the time, and at least in 2010 I don't have to turn off all those things. As long as your exposure is inactive, it should be fine... Do you put the AO in the processing slot?

Title: Don't Use IE
Use any other browser besides Internet Explorer, preferably Firefox, as the ZIP/RAR may become corrupt when downloading with IE.
